Las Tres Marias Spain Trip Planning Services — What to Expect

Spain Trip Coaching

To get started with the Spain coaching service, send me an email or give me a call to talk about what you’re looking for in your ideal Spain trip. The more specific you are, the better. I’ll want to know the number of people traveling in your group and their ages, what your interests are, your activity level, your lodging preferences, and if you’ve been to Spain before.

Your seven days of trip coaching can be booked as one continuous week, or two 3.5 day chunks. Either way, the sooner you are able to book time on my calendar, the better. Once we’ve got your time confirmed, we’ll begin thinking about your trip following the Las Tres Marias planning process.

Here’s what that will look like —

  • First, we’ll work on the overall outline of your trip first, or where you’ll go specifically and how long you’ll stay in each place. I’ll make recommendations and you’ll give feedback, and we’ll work until you’re happy with the overall flow of your Spain trip.
  • Next, after discussing your preferences for hotels — do you want luxury hotels, small boutique hotels that are full of charm, rustic houses — I’ll several suggest hotel options for each part of your trip. I’ll make sure that you’re satisfied with the recommendations and options, but you’ll book on your own.
  • Next, we’ll talk about food. I’ll make multiple restaurant suggestions for meals in each of your destinations and make sure you’re happy with your options.
  • Last, we’ll figure work on your trip activities. Based on what we’ve discussed about your interests and preferences, I’ll make recommendations for tours, private guides, outings to small towns, wine tastings or other options. Again, I’ll make sure you’re happy with your options and you’ll finalize and book guides, tours, or other activities on your own.

Gold Spain Trip Planning

To get started planning your trip, send me an email or give me a call to talk about what you’re looking for in your ideal Spain trip. The more specific you are, the better. I’ll want to know the number of people traveling in your group and their ages, what your interests are, your activity level, your lodging preferences, and if you’ve been to Spain before. Once we’ve decided to work together, we’ll plan your trip following the Las Tres Marias planning process.

  • Next, after discussing your preferences for hotels — do you want luxury hotels, small boutique hotels that are full of charm, rustic houses, etc. — I’ll suggest hotels for each part of your trip. Once you’re satisfied, I’ll go ahead and book your hotels.
  • Next, we’ll talk about food and wine (my favorite part!) With this service, I book once restaurant per day. Once you review my restaurant recommendations and are happy with final choices, I’ll go ahead and book one restaurant per day for your Spain trip.

I will provide unlimited restaurant advice for the daily meals that Las Tres Marias doesn’t book. In general, I recommend that clients have me make their lunch reservations and use the unlimited advice to decide on their dinner options on their own. Lunch is the principal meal of the day in Spain, so this usually makes sense. It does depend, however, on your itinerary and your preferences. For example, if you’re doing a full day of hiking or biking, it might not make sense to make lunch be your reserved meal. This is something we will discuss and figure out depending on your plans for each day of you trip.

  • The next step is to figure out your activities. Based on what we’ve discussed about your interests and preferences, I’ll make recommendations for tours, private guides, outings to small towns, wine tastings, self-guided walks or drive, or many other options. Once you’ve reviewed and are happy with the recommendations, I’ll book the agreed upon activities.

With the Gold Spain Trip Planning service, you should expect to hear from me three weeks prior to your departure. I’ll want to schedule a call to review expectations for your trip to Spain, to walk you through your customized Las Tres Marias itinerary so you are familiar with the layout of your printed itinerary. You’ll be able to ask me any questions you might have about the itinerary and/or your trip. I’ll send you a pre-departure checklist by email that includes recommendations for travel insurance, cell phone use, driving in Spain and, perhaps most importantly for a successful trip to Spain, how to adapt to the eating schedule.
